Shopify has moved from React Native to Native using AI
Now that with the advancements in the AI, writing code has become cheap (whether it is high quality or not is a subjective thing and it is a tradeoff like with everything in tech)
Shopify team has recently moved away from React Native tech stack for Shop app to native apps in Android and iOS and they were able to do that in 12 weeks.
They have used Pi agent under the hood to kick start the work.
